The journal aims to function as a printed blog, providing a compendium of inspiration through the exploration of different themes each issue. A spring board for free association, resulting in spontaneous and logically unconstrained content.
Free association has no linear or preplanned agenda, but works by intuitive leaps and linkages which may lead to new personal insights and meanings.
It is not just the process of free association that likens the journal to the blog format, as in the most popular, imaginative and thought-provoking blogs, the journal wouldn’t be based in the selection of content relating to it’s currentness or sources. Instead opting to print newly commissioned content astride previously published material - relevant articles and imagery from other publications, both contrasting and complimenting the newly generated content.
Resulting in a mash up of old, new, high brow and low, demure and brash. Producing a truly eclectic mix of content, with experimentation, creativity and exploration firmly at it’s core.
